The Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville is a service organization comprised of caring men and women from all walks of life. Our objective is to bring aid to children in need. The majority of our efforts benefit children in this community. A portion of the funds we raise go to help meet Kiwanis International objectives which focus on the special needs of young children from prenatal development to age five. We serve by sponsoring fund raising activities, which provide monetary support for children’s programs and through personal involvement in the giving of our time and skills. Anyone interested in serving others will feel very welcome here.

Blob Fest Hot Dog Booth
7/11/2009
Selling hot dogs & soda on Bridge Street. Proceeds benefit Kiwanis projects. Larry will bring the club's gas grill, hot dogs, rolls, condiments, beverages, ice, etc. We usually start selling around 11 AM and go until we decide to stop or run out of food, whichever comes first. It takes about 3 volunteers to handle the operation successfully. One hour shifts (or longer, if preferred) should work, starting at 11 AM and continuing until 2 PM.

Duck Race
7/11/2009
Held in conjuntion with Blob Fest. Tickets are pre-sold by Kiwanis and many other community organizations and schools. Hundreds and hundreds of cute ducks get their chance to race in French Creek from the Foundry building, over the dam, to the finish line. The winning ducks win big cash prizes for their owners. We need volunteers to man the ticket tables from about 10 AM until the race starts about 4 PM. A minimum of 2-3 volunteers are needed throughout the day to man the tables and stuff the ducks as tickets are sold.
